Join USGBC-MGC for a 'Coffee Break' - a quick, lively conversation on a timely green building topic! 

On Friday, December 11th at 10:00 am we are excited to welcome Kevin Bryant as our featured guest! Kevin Bryant is the President of Kingsway Development, LLC - created out of the necessity to cease the rapid decline of American neighborhoods, Kevin Bryant is the executive founder and developer of the Kingsway Redevelopment Plan - initiating corporate opportunities and supporting upwardly mobile housing developments in the Kingsway / Central West End corridor of St. Louis, Missouri. We will be discussing what it's like to work in "Sacrifice Zones" and topics such as;

  • Modern Redlining, 
  • Community Engagement, 
  • Eating the Elephant, and 
  • Planning for a brighter future.

Kevin Bryant, Executive Founder & Developer, President of Kingsway Development, LLC - "A Driving Force for Economic Development." is also the founder of Conversion Global Marking. Kevin Bryant's portfolio reflects nearly 20 years of experience and expertise in advertising, design, journalism, marketing, promotions, and digital communication with top companies such as Monsanto, Anheuser-Busch and Harris Stowe State University, celebrities, nonprofits, municipalities, and corporations. His insight for effectiveness, unbound by locality or convention is driving economic development in the City of St. Louis. Specifically north of Delmar Blvd., he is driving development in the district through a core focus on revitalizing vacant/underutilized properties by partnering with private developers to encourage eco-friendly housing upgrades for residential homes and to completely rehab or demolish barely standing or abandoned properties. The Kingsway District is a 207 acre multi-million dollar business and community development located in the heart of St. Louis' Central-West End.

Flance Learning Center opened to students in June 2014, and aims to be an exemplary early
learning center, serving children of all incomes and backgrounds, six-weeks to six-years of age in a new, $11.5 million facility. The center’s design team placed heavy emphasis on ensuring that indoor and outdoor spaces were resource-efficient, free of toxins, healthy for students, comfortable for teachers, and cost-effective.  In recognition of this emphasis on health and environmental
sustainability, Flance Center is registered to become only the 4th LEED for Schools Certified
Preschool in the world.   Universal Design features are also incorporated to create a convenient
experience for staff and students, regardless of physical ability, thereby creating an environment in which special-needs and typical-needs children can thrive side-by-side in the same classrooms.
