Thirty-nine schools responded to the U.S. Green Building Council-Missouri Gateway Chapter’s challenge to enter the first annual Green Schools Quest. Over the 2013-14 school year, participating schools devised and implemented - with the help of green mentors - creative, effective and no or low cost sustainable practices for their schools. Now, it’s time to celebrate!

Guest Speaker - Emily Riordan We are thrilled to welcome Emily Riordan, Community Programs Manager for the Center for Green Schools to St. Louis! Emily will lend a national perspective on opportunities to transform our schools into healthy, safe, cost-efficient and productive learning places. Topics of discussion will include the Green Apple Day of Service and newly released National Action Plan for Educating for Sustainability.
