Strawbale Demonstration Wall

Presented by Michelle Rook

Part of Sustainapalooza

Got clay? Got straw? We will build a strawbale demonstration wall right behind City Hall in the parking lot! Join Michelle Rook as she leads a hands-on discussion of successful strawbale construction in the Midwest. Participants will help with bale tying, bale shaping and plastering a section of strawbale wall. Bring construction site appropriate clothes that you do not mind getting dirty—long sleeves, gloves and boots are recommended. Or, bring a lawn chair and watch. Rain or shine, we will bring a tent awning if rain is threatening.

Submitted for 1 GBCI CE Hour and 1 AIA/CES CEH

Jointly presented by USGBC-MGC Mid-Missouri Branch and Mid-Missouri AIA
