Green Schools Quest Mentor Connection
with facilitator, Hope Gribble, Green Schools Manager
Need a break? A quick face-to-face with your green building community? New thoughts, ideas, and conversation to jump start your day? Join USGBC-MGC for a 'Coffee Break' - a quick, lively conversation on a timely green building topic!
On March 5th, our conversation will focus on the Green Schools Quest from a Mentor's perspective. This gathering is open to all, and intended for both existing mentors and those whom have never participated before.
During the coffee break, we'll:
- Briefly recap the Green Schools Quest program and goals for next year.
- Introduce the Missouri Green Schools state-wide recognition program, and how it connects with the Green Schools Quest.
- Engage in informal discussion about the program and experiences of current and past mentors.
- Gather input on how the program's reach can be expanded, and pros/cons of the recent program adaptations in response to COVID.
While the Green Mentor role varies based upon the unique school and team each mentor is paired with, some things ring true across the board: sustainability initiatives are alive and well in local schools and Green Schools Quest mentors, students and educators are inspiring leaders within our community. We hope you'll join us for this fun and uplifting discussion!
Hope Gribble, Education & Green Schools Manager, USGBC-MGC
