July 14 Evening Program
LEED Tour: Maryland Heights Community Center
A Dynamic Spot for Sport, Wellness & Engagement
Our Annual Green Building Tour will feature the LEED Silver Maryland Heights Community Center where the building’s striking exterior was inspired by the importance of access to natural light for human health and wellness.
During the event, the project team will discuss the highly interactive feasibility study that served as the basis for sustainable design to meet the needs of current and future citizens and then give a facility tour that highlights the special attention to noise reduction from nearby I-270 traffic; the surrounding park that was designed to perform double duty serving as alfresco spaces for events like craft fairs, and the effort to retain as much outdoor space as possible.
