Plogging Run
Join the USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter's Emerging Professionals for their first "plogging" run. In this fitness trend (a combination of the words "jogging" and "plucking"), joggers with gloves and plastic bags gather trash as they go.
Volunteers will meet at the Mary Meachum Freedom Center on Great Rivers Greenway's Riverfront Trail for a safety briefing, and jog North along the trail. They will turn around after approximately a mile and a half and "plog" back to the starting point, picking up litter on their way back. The suggested total distance is approximately a 5K (3.1 miles), though volunteers may run (or walk) as long or short as they'd like. All speeds are welcome!
Water and snacks will be provided.
