SPEAKER: Teri Samples, Partner and Director of Real Estate Services, Mueller Prost CPAs + Business Advisors

The benefits of green building extend beyond energy efficiency and increased occupant comfort. This seminar will examine tax incentives of green building in both a commercial and residential context.

Understand the current landscape of tax incentives for green building and why these tax incentives exist. Explore the eligibility requirements, the process of claiming benefits, and important factors for designers, builders, and owners to consider before pursuing benefits.

  • Discuss how to claim available incentives
  • Determine how to calculate incentives

SPEAKER
Teri Samples
is the Director of Real Estate Services at Mueller Prost. Since joining the firm in 1994, she has held several leadership roles, including Tax Committee Chairperson. Over the last 20 years, she has built a solid reputation as a trusted advisor and consultant to leaders in the Real Estate and Homebuilding industries in the Midwest.

Teri has extensive knowledge regarding federal agency energy incentives including tax deductions and credits. She leads a team that includes Mueller Prost’s energy proposal partner as well as in-house engineers and tax experts, all working together to qualify both individual and company clients for grants and incentives. Teri’s experience with tax incentives for energy efficiency improvements to commercial buildings and determining if ASHRAE standards are met has distinguished her as a sought-after speaker and consultant in the field.
